The exhibition explores the limits of body movement, space, rhythm, and image through the work of artists who develop a dialogue between the visual arts and dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conceptual starting point of this project is the paradigm of Isadora Duncan (1877-1927). Duncan was a contemporary dance avant-garde figure who inspired many artists of her time. She promoted a new approach to dance expression as a free personal response to aesthetic and emotional stimuli through the diverse natural movements of the human body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The works in the exhibition include paintings, sculpture, photographs, drawings, video art, videodance, architectural designs, performance documentation (photographs, video, theatre set objects and costumes) by seven contemporary Greek artists (visual artists and choreographers), as well as excerpts from texts by eminent contemporary dance personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center, Athens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
