Les poissons sont profond\u00e9ment li\u00e9s \u00e0 ses exp\u00e9riences d&rsquo;enfance, pr\u00e8s de la mer et des p\u00eacheurs de sa ville natale, Sozopol. Le gagne-pain de sa famille d\u00e9pendait de la bonne p\u00eache et <a class=\"popup-artwork\" href=\"#popup-1\">lui-m\u00eame appr\u00e9ciait la p\u00eache<\/a> jusqu\u2019\u00e0 son grand \u00e2ge, quand il se rendait avec son fils et ses amis \u00e0 Rafina. Pourtant, Gounaropoulos \u00e9tait plut\u00f4t emport\u00e9 par la r\u00eaverie et l\u2019observation de la vie aquatique que par la bonne prise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les poissons, avec leurs couleurs iridescentes, leur texture brillante\net leurs mouvements caract\u00e9ristiques dedans et hors de l\u2019eau, consistaient pour lui une source d\u2019inspiration, ainsi qu\u2019un d\u00e9fi artistique.
