Storytelling and art workshop inspired by the maritime themes in the paintings of Giorgos Gounaropoulos
With summer just around the corner, the G. Gounaropoulos Museum invites you to the educational program “In the Embrace of the Sea.” Inside the studio of painter Giorgos Gounaropoulos, guided by his paintings, we’ll journey through Greek folk tales, magical tales featuring heroes who transform from doves into princes and heroines with strength as vast as the boundless sea. The storytelling will then give way to a puppet show. After the storytelling, we’ll create our own imaginary creature, inspired by the images from the fairy tales, in a puppet-making workshop.
