Thalassini Douma / Kalli Bellou
Thalassini Douma and Kalli Bellou approach photography primarily as a journey in the world around and within. In the exhibition Journeys-Passages they present large format photographs from their travels.
Thalassini Douma presents black and white prints from the series Journey in the labyrinth that comprises three thematic groups: «Move In», which expresses the artist’s awe in front of Arizona’s canyon formations, «Dissolving Travellers», depicting the melting icebergs in Greenland and «Lines», which focuses on the geometry underlying the city of New York.
Kalli Bellou presents a selection of evocative colour photographs from the series Tibet, A breath away from God.
Curator: Dionissia Giakoumi, Art historian, PhD-Curator, G. Gounaropoulos Museum
